Clean text anywhere without opening a new tab. The bookmarklet copies a cleaned version of your selection and can replace text inside focused inputs or textareas. When you use emdashguard directly, both input and output areas are fully editable for precise control.
Quick install (desktop)
- Show your bookmarks bar.
- Drag the button below to the bar.
- Visit any page, select text, then click the bookmarklet.
Quick install (iPhone and iPad, iOS Safari)
- Tap Copy next to the bookmarklet you want.
- Share → Add Bookmark. Save it.
- Open Bookmarks, find the new item, tap Edit.
- Replace the URL with the code you copied. Save.
- On a page, select text, then pick the bookmarklet from Bookmarks.
Quick install (Android, Chrome)
- Tap Copy next to the bookmarklet you want.
- Create a new bookmark.
- Edit the bookmark and paste the code into the URL field.
- On a page, select text, open Bookmarks, and tap the bookmarklet.

Notes and limits
- Works best on selected text and text fields. Rewriting rich content areas varies by site.
